Anthony Wayne Memorial Trip

The annual chapter trip August 9, 2025 to Defiance Ohio was attended by President Henry Stobbs and VP/Secretary Mark Cook. A lunch and meeting with The Northwest Territory Chapter was held at the Asian Grille in Defiance. The lunch was paid by the John Hancock Chapter for its members and DAR members that were invited and attended. During the meeting Liberty Tree arrangements commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the Revolutionary War were discussed for Defiance, Williams, Fulton and Henry counties by Dave Lupien, Ohio State SAR President and Northwest Territory Chapter Secretary. He then gave a presentation about the Anthony Wayne Memorial that he was instrumental in getting placed at the riverside of the Maumee River, west of Fort Defiance. The attendees then met at the Memorial to observe and take pictures of the memorial.
