John Hancock Chapter Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony
April 12, 2026 The John Hancock Chapter held a Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the Halifax Resolves. The celebration was in conjunction with the Hancock Historical Museum, Hancock County 250th Anniversary Committee, The Fort Findlay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Findlay Shade Tree Commission. Karl C. Kerschner Swearing in Ceremony as a new member of the John Hancock Chapter
The swearing in took place in the Honorable Judge Steve C. Shuff's jury room April 7, at 11 AM. by President Henry Stobbs and Secretary Mark Cook. He was given the oath and presented his credentials. The SAR Rosette was pinned on by Cook and Stobbs presented him with a John Hancock Challenge Coin. Kerschner is an Attorney and is on the State of Ohio Integrity Board.

March Meeting Held at Minnie Louise Failing House/Museum
The first regular meeting of the year was held March 7, at the Minnie Louise Failing Museum in Fremont , Ohio. It is the meeting place for the DAR Colonial George Croghan Chapter. Naturalization Ceremony
New member Dave Jennings attended the December 17, 2025 Naturalization Ceremony held at the Ashley U.S. District Court House in Toledo, Ohio. 16 new citizens from ten different countries were naturalized.

Obituary: Richard Apple
Richard Eugene Apple, 78, of Mt. Blanchard, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born in Findlay, to Weldon M. and Florence E. (Simon) Apple, November 13, 1946. Richard graduated from Elmwood High School, class of 1964. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1970. On February 14, 1980, he married Jayme Harford, and she survives. Richard is also survived by his daughters, Dawn R. (Steve) Hasselbach of Gibsonburg, B
