Wyandotte Burial Grounds

Compatriot Steve Coffman shared with us at the September meeting that he had made a trip to Oklahoma to speak wit Chief Billy Friend and Cultural Preservation Officer Kim Garcia of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma. They are officers of the Old Indian burial grounds in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Also called the Non-Christian Indian burial grounds. He moved several tombstones, replacing three and added two new. There are a total of seven on the grounds. Steve is experienced in tombstone restoration and does this as a business. Below is an example of his work.
